Bored waiting for Microsoft Train Simulator (MTS) to come out? So am I. Head over to Stan's RailPix. He's got a ton of pictures to keep you busy, including SEPTA ones, which will help me somewhat. It will be in the Links section whenever I get that done. Submit links to me if you want your's added!
And while I'm updating, big thanks to the guy in the Forum for scanning some very detailed maps of the R8 line.

Not much new. As most of you know, you can buy Microsoft Train Simulator from Amazon.com now, along with the Sybex Official Strategy and Secrets Guide. Anyway, if I get the chance I'll make a map of the R8 SEPTA route (first one to be made) when I get the time. Until then, don't expect any major updates. Possibly a Links section also coming up soon.

Site opened. So what's this site about you may ask? A SEPTA (Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority) add-on for the upcoming game Microsoft Train Simulator. SEPTA covers Philadelphia, the suburbs, and all the way out to Trenton, NJ. SEPTA uses everything from subway,to trolley, to elevated train. However, this will project will focus mainly on the larger part, the regional rail system.
The add-on will be totally free. This site will be updated whenever there is new news to report, screenshots have been added, etc. Speaking of which, the April issue of Computer Games has a short, but interesting nonetheless, preview of MSTS. In addition, there will be forums available for support, suggestions, or just any general comments.
I am also in the search for people who want to contribute: maps, modeling (of scenery, SEPTA cars, etc.) - just about anything. Any kind of contribution is well appreciated. Credit will be given where it is due. Just e-mail me, Pete, on the contacts page.
Currently, nothing has been started on the project. Actual development will not begin until more information is released about the editing tools, which, most likely, will be when the game is released. It would be a waste to spend time on something and then not be able to use it. Until then, hang tight!
